  Andrea Cannon, NCTM

Andrea is an alumna of Berklee College of Music where she majored in guitar performance with an emphasis on jazz and also received an Outstanding Alumni Service Award.

She is a professor of guitar at Lone Star College, works with the jazz ensemble at Dekaney High School and directs the Suzuki program at Guitar Arts Studio in Spring, Texas. She is a Teacher-Trainer for the Suzuki Music Guitar Method and travels internationally as a clinician and performer. Recent events have taken her to Europe, Canada and Central America.

Andrea is humbled and proud that arts advocacy group Alarte of Guatemala City, Guatemala has created a Scholarship in her name. The first recipient of the 'Beca Andrea Cannon' is enjoying the benefits of a new guitar as well as expert Suzuki instruction; and she also has a beautiful smile.
