       A little about me

            Mary Loy

Mary Loy is an accomplished teacher and collaborative artist with over 40 years experience in arts education and performance as a pianist, singer, actor, and director. While working in New York, Mary studied Music Theatre at The Juilliard School and later earned a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Louisiana State University, where she served as LSU Opera accompanist and vocal coach. 

While sharing expertise in solo and ensemble classical, music theatre and other genres, she provides healthy instruction and opportunities in piano and vocal technique and performance that match the diverse needs of her students. LPA Studio is represented in Houston Grand Opera, TUTS, Class Act Productions, chamber music and accompaniment collaboration, and other genres. Mary is actively involved in CMTA, TMTA, Federation of Music Clubs, Cynthia Mitchell Woods Pavilion and The Woodlands Harmony Club. She is Executive Director/Teacher of Loy Performing Arts.
